Background
Tel Aviv, 1962 - Yitzchak Lipsker, founded the Lipsker Company after working for 12 years specializing in the management of underground engineering work at TAHAL – the Israel Water Resources Development Company,. In the middle of the 1980s Yitzchak Lipsker’s son Yoram joined the Company management and today, he is Deputy CEO. The Company’s initial focus was on test borings and pilings, but soon expanded to include as early as the 1970s, thousands of large complex projects involving the complete range of underground work. Projects were also completed abroad – in Iran, Nigeria and Cyprus.

Reputation
Over the past 45 years, the Company has completed thousands of different types of piles for foundations, support and retaining walls and tens of thousands of meters of drilling in all types of soil and rock conditions. The Company has also executed a wide range of specialist geotechnical work.

The Company places special emphasis on employing engineers and technicians with the highest standards, qualifications and professionalism. Site managers have both wide experience and outstanding expertise in the whole range of Company activities. The Company’s in-house Engineering Department plans the work, selects and then adapts the most appropriate tools and equipment at the Company’s plant before moving on to supervise every stage of execution on site.

The Lipsker Company was the first Israeli company to use ground anchors (in 1964) and since then, the Company has installed tens of thousands of temporary and permanent ground anchors all over Israel. Ground anchors installed by Lipsker benefit from the Company’s experience, expertise and constant development, which means the highest quality. The Company has also developed unique methods that improve foundation bearing capacity when access conditions within buildings are difficult and minimal thickness retaining wall systems, which enable maximum exploitation of limited areas.

Israel’s Leading Special Tasks Company
The Lipsker Company’s most obvious advantage is its prodigious experience in the execution of special geotechnical work: Often, these are highly complex tasks from the professional and/or logistical point of view, or work that cannot be performed using regular methods or equipment. Therefore, they require unique engineering solutions. The Lipsker Company has lead this field in Israel for over 40 years.

To maintain this technological advantage, ever since it was first founded, the Company has consistently invested very considerable resources in the development of equipment, work methods and the purchase of the latest technologies from abroad (Switzerland and Germany). The success of this approach is clearly seen in the work executed and patents registered in the Company’s name.

The Company is particularly proud of the 15 patents it holds in Israel and abroad (including the USA) which refers to: Drilling equipment, anchors, instrumentation and execution methods.

In addition to in-house development work, the Lipsker Company has been involved in the following joint development work:

A development project for the Ministry of Housing and the Haifa Technion’s Research and Development Institute on the subject of increasing pile bearing capacity using pressure expansion (1988).

A development project in cooperation with the Chief Scientist at the Ministry of Trade and Industry on the subject of ground anchor structure and methods (1987).

In 1998, the Lipsker Company won the Construction Excellence Prize awarded by the Israel Contractors and Builders Association for the Company’s work on the construction of the upper station of the Masada cableway. The Prize was awarded to the Company for this unique project, considered exceptionally complex on an international scale.

For many years, the Company has also been involved in tunneling, acquiring along the way, intimate understanding and very extensive experience in this field. Lipsker pioneered the construction of tunnels in a variety of soil and rock conditions using the Forepoling method – the insertion of steel tube umbrellas.

The Lipsker Company is sole agent in Israel for the German Company SUSPA DSI, which is Europe’s leading manufacturer and marketer of geotechnical products, such as cable anchors, DYWIDAG anchors , rock bolts, tensioning systems, etc.

The Company has an outstanding reputation for reliability and all work, including the most complex tasks, is completed to its customers’ full satisfaction.

The Lipsker Company is a registered contractor for government work, a registered supplier to the Ministry of Defense and a member of the Contractors and Builders Association. The Company holds an “unlimited” classification and is certified compliant with the ISO 9001: 2000 standard as awarded by the Israel Standards Institute.
