Soil and Rock Anchors
The Lipsker & Co. Company pioneered soil and rock anchors in Israel and during its 50 years of activities, the Company has executed an enormous variety of both temporary and permanent soil and rock anchors – both vertical and horizontal, to support excavation and for the purposes of retaining walls, slope stabilization, etc.
In 1998, Lipsker received the Construction Excellence Prize awarded by the Israel Contractors and Builders Association for the work done to establish the Masada cable car project. The complex Masada project was on an international scale and Lipsker provided underpinning and reinforcement for the Masada cliffs, which required the installation of permanent, 150 ton working load anchors at great heights. It was the first time that an Israeli engineering company had ever executed anchors with such large working loads.
Currently, the issue of anchors plays a very significant role in almost every underground project and anchors are executed in their thousands at sites all over the country. Anchor load bearing strength is a function of the anchor’s geo-mechanical gripping force deep in the soil, beyond the range of the theoretical pullout force. The anchoring component is designed to prevent possibly dangerous movement of the soil and that is why anchor technology is vitally important in terms of its role as the first line safety component for all underground construction.
Anchors executed by the Lipsker & Co. Company have proven, maximum load bearing capacity. That load bearing capacity is due to careful planning of anchor structure and the precise manufacturing of the anchor using a controlled process in a computerized, automated plant – the only one of its kind in the Middle East; careful attention to every detail in that process and the use of top quality materials. Taking all those steps ensures that anchors comply with all the technical requirements in the relevant standards and specifications, which includes the Israeli Standard for permanent anchors published in January 2011.
Lipsker & Co. provides its clients with a full warranty for the proper functioning of all temporary and permanent anchors. The Company’s vast experience and accumulated expertise provides our clients with a quality advantage in the field of anchors.

The Lipsker Company operates dozens of machines and drilling systems of all sizes and capacities and employs highly skilled engineers, technicians and operators with the ability to provide the most appropriate anchoring solution for each project. The Company owns equipment suitable for drilling in any situation, including vertical and horizontal drilling; working at heights and within confined spaces. The Company’s ability to operate a very wide range of drilling machinery simultaneously ensures that the client will benefit from rapid execution of the work and project completion on schedule.
