Tunneling

Lipsker specializes in the execution of all types of tunneling work using NATM (the New Austrian Tunneling Method) and as part of that work, executes drilling and forepoling, installs meshes and lattice girders, shotcrete, the installation of grouted and mechanical rock bolts, self drilling and Swellex rock bolts and more...

The NATM method is used on a vast scale for tunneling into soft soil and fissured rock around the globe as well as in Israel. It is the ideal method for work in an urban environment and in contrast with the cut and cover method, NATM technology reduces the disruption to normal life because it is implemented underground and does not cause any significant disturbance to the locality.

The Lipsker & Co. Company has executed a long list of preliminary support projects in Israel in a wide range of soil and rock cross-sections, including sand, clay, chalk, marl, and dolomite, for a broad range of uses: Roads, railway lines, service tunnels, security projects and much more… Lipsker & Co was involved in the tunneling work for the Elite tunnel in Ramat Gan, the Shappirim tunnel near Ben Gurion Airport, the Eshkol tunnel in Jerusalem, the Anava tunnel at Modi’in; a tunnel for the Ministry of Defense, the Hadassah tunnel in Jerusalem and more...

Lipsker & Co. represents the Austrian Company Allwag, which is part of the DSI (Dywidag Systems International) Group, and is a world leader in tunneling technology.
