Red Line Tel- Aviv
Lipsker & Co. conducted most of the jet grouting work on the Red Line as part of the Tel Aviv Light Rail. There are 10 projects.
Jet grouting work for the passage of two TBMs beneath the Ayalon River.
The Customer’s Name: China Railway Tunneling Group (CRTG), a Chinese company.
In the Ayalon crossing project, the Chinese company CRTG (which was chosen to implement the western part of the Red Line) had to cross the Ayalon Canal with its Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM.)
This route is saturated with sensitive infrastructure of various types, including drainage pipes and an active railway system (work is conducted at a distance of a few meters from the tracks while constantly measuring the effect of the work on the tracks to ensure there is no movement greater than 4 mm) and more. Lipsker & Co.'s mission was to stabilize the crossing area to prevent damage to the walls and railroads during tunneling work.
The window of time was very limited. Special dams were installed in the Ayalon Canal to prevent flooding, and it was necessary to finish the work by winter due to the risk of flooding. Lipsker reinforced the execution teams, worked in an emergency 24/7 format, and completed the work before the rains came, with the TBMs crossing the Ayalon Canal.
In addition, the company carried out:
· Jet grouting block for the aforementioned Chinese company at the Herzl Shaft.
· Jet Grouting blocks at Carlebach Station. The customer’s name: is JV Denya-Cebus, and the Chinese company CCECC.
· Jet grout blocks for seven connecting tunnels. The customer’s name: CRTG, a Chinese company with the execution of the CP14, CP17, CP9, CP6 blocks. For the JV of Denya-Cebus with the Chinese CCECC execution of the CP21 blocks. CP21A ,CP22
The company's work on the Red Line was very complex and challenging. Some sites were performed at great depths (over 40 meters). At some sites, soil conditions were characterized by hard gravel, requiring meticulous and precise work in two shifts.
All projects were completed on time and to the satisfaction of the Company’s clients.
